You can delete your Carminer account and the personal details attached to it at any time. There are two ways to ask, and they end in the same place.

1. In the app

This is the quickest route, and it needs nothing from us.

• Open the Carminer app and go to Profile.
• Tap Delete Account.
• Read what deleting removes, then confirm. We send a code to your WhatsApp number to make sure the request is really coming from you.
• Enter the code. Your account is closed straight away.

2. If you no longer have the app

Email [email protected] from any address, or message us on WhatsApp at +65 8087 5557, and ask us to delete your account. Tell us the mobile number you signed up with, since that is what identifies your account. We will contact you on that number to confirm the request before anything is deleted — without that check, anyone who knew your number could close your account.

What happens when you delete

• You are signed out immediately and cannot sign in again. This happens the moment you confirm, not when we get round to it.
• Your name, email address and phone number are removed from your account record.
• Your sign-in identity is deleted, which also releases your mobile number — so you can sign up again from scratch later if you want to.
• Notifications stop. Your device is unregistered, so you will not keep receiving alerts about an account that no longer exists.
• Your garage, valuations, price alerts, watchlists, rewards and referral progress go with the account.

What we keep, and why

Records of completed sales stay on file. A sale is a transaction between you, a buyer and us, and we are required to keep records of it for tax and legal reasons — deleting an account cannot erase a sale that actually happened. Those records no longer carry your name, email address or phone number once your deletion is processed. We keep them only for as long as the law requires, as set out in our Privacy Policy.

How long it takes

Losing access is immediate. Removing your details from our records is done by our team shortly afterwards, and we will confirm when it is complete. If you have asked by email or WhatsApp and have not heard back, chase us on the same thread — a deletion request is never closed without a reply.

If you have a sale in progress

Deleting your account does not cancel a car that is already listed or a sale that is underway, and it will leave you unable to see either. If you want to stop selling rather than close your account, talk to your advisor first — we can take a listing down without deleting anything.
